About
Daniel Séguin
Camera Operator, Composer, Editor, Sound Designer
Daniel, originally from Ottawa, has nearly 30 years of experience in the film and television industry, focusing on filmmaking, cinematography, and storytelling. He has worked on a variety of projects, including educational videos, interviews across Canada, and over 15 years as a video editor.
As a composer, Daniel is one of Canada’s most versatile talents, with two Gemini Awards, three Leo Awards, and numerous nominations to his name. Recently, he has taken on the role of bandleader for The Forward Motion Jazz Orchestra, where he contributes as a composer and arranger. In 2021, he worked with Gabriel Mark Hasselback on the album Groove & Tongue, co-writing five tracks and performing on saxophones.
Daniel's music has been featured in award-winning TV series such as Human Cargo, Flash Gordon, and Just Cause, as well as films like Murder Unveiled and A Beachcombers Christmas. His documentary work includes Suicide Tourist and The Wild Horse Redemption, both directed by Academy Award winner John Zaritsky.
Known for his versatility, Daniel excels in writing music for all genres—dramas, documentaries, comedies, and action films—always enhancing the narrative. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his wife Karyn and daughter Sabrina.

Blackmagic Design Ursa Mini Pro
The Ursa Mini Pro 4.6K camera, equipped with a cinematic S35 CMOS sensor, is available in three units for our productions.
Blackmagic Design Pocket Cinema Camera 4K
The Pocket Cinema Camera 4K is a perfect complement to the Ursa cameras. Featuring a Micro Four-Thirds sensor, it’s compatible with various mounts, including PL and EF. We have two of these cameras available for our productions.
Zhiyun Crane 3S Gimbal
The Zhiyun Crane 3S gimbal is powerful enough to support cinema cameras like the Ursa Mini Pro. We use these gimbals with our Pocket Cinema Cameras, allowing for remote control. Two of these gimbals are available for our productions.
